I hope you noticed i took a break. I did and I am back. When i took the two weeks off, I thought I was going to have much-needed restand come back refreshed. But the days flew away so fast, that I found myself wondering where they had all rushed to a few days to my resumption date to blogging. I know it has happened to you too, where you take some time off thinking you are going to focus on you, only for you to get back tired than before. It happens way more often to womens. Suddenly, it’s like all of the household errands were waiting for you to put up your feet and come rushing in. I am not complaining though, for a few days at least I was able to enjoy the stillness of being alone with my thoughts. And in our hyper-connected world where we suffer from an information load, research says that time spent away in solitude increases happiness. Alone time leads to bettet life satisfaction and imporoved stress management. People who enjoy alone time experience less depression.
Time is interesting. I was gone only a few dats, and within that time, the Us got a new team into the whitehouse—- which by the way i hawkeyed followed and even celebrated despite me being so far from the centre of american politics. So hurray Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. One the downside, corona cases soared, and I was often too afraid to leave the comfort of my house when I should have been having a grand time being out there. I am rooting for 2022 as being the year where we all put the gloom behind us.
Speaking of 2022, what are your thoughts on it? Are you hopeful ae me that things can only lookup? That thought aloneis helping me deal with anxious- raising days. I imagine myself, much latet in years sitting with my grandchildren as i narrate to them the year of pandemic and how all our lives changed. Which reminds me I should have kept a personal journal to register my everday musings of 2020-2021. These is a mental note to me that I need to get Journalling as soon as I am done dusting these week l’s blog. Maybe you should do it too. You never know, this maybe your opportunity for that blockbuster or acvlaimed novel. You know what they say, “opportunity only knocks once.” Don’t say I didn’t tell you.
By the way, what are your thoughts on the holidays? Yeah, the festive period is right at the corner. It’s been a hard Year. I known, so should we just skip these year’s merry making, and jump right into 2022? Maybe, maybe not. The choice is Yours.
As usual, I am always happy to hear from you so make sure to drop me a line, a comment or engage me on my social media channels.
Have a great merry Christmas and a happy prosperous 2022.
Let me hear your thoughts.
